Have Change In Bowl Habit, Constipation. Had Varicocelectomy Done. No Medication. What To Do?
Hello,
I am suffering from a sudden change in bowl habit that started about two weeks ago. I feel constipated and bloated. I had a varicocelectomy done two days ago. I feel extremely bloated and have had minimul success at producing bowl movement since surgery; this extra abdominal is very uncomfortable. I am a 22 year old male that is quite active and works out daily; I have never suffered from constipation before.
It s important to note if you have had any change in environment or feeding habits lately. Changing from vegetable rich foods to other diets might easily cause constipation, have you been drinking much water lately? such habits could explain constipation.
Surgery, in case of certain anesthetics and immobilization could predispose to impaired bowel movements. For now, I propose drinking enough water and fluids, vegetables and fruits and some exercise. persistence of symptoms should prompt a consultation with a gastroenterologist.
Best regards,
Bain LE, MD.
