Hi Remya,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HCM.
The very first suggestion id to keep seborrheic
dermatitis in control., seborrheic dermatitis and its part
seborrhea are is considered to be one of the important aggravating factor in pimples and the large bumps which you are getting. Once you are able to control the acne part so the scars as a usual sequel would be on the lower side. For that do shampoo everyday or if not possible then alternate days, do not apply any type of hair oil or if you want to then can apply 1-2 hours before bath. Keep yourself away from hot humid environment and apply and take your medications properly as advised by the
dermatologist. This will prevent the formation and popping up your acne into large cystic lesion and thence to scars.
Now for scars,
Tretinoin is a good and safe compound which works better on long term usage without much of side effects ( but has to be stopped during
pregnancy). At least this is one of the compound which actually maintains your skin for longer time. My advice is to continue it. Along with it you can try
glycolic acid and azealic acid creams under dermatological guidance. There is worth possibility of glycolic and
trichloroacetic acid peels in different concentrations giving you some visible results. These above things will take care of shallow scars and pigmentation. The final answer to all type of deep scars is Fraxel laser though costly but can work for you according to the type of scars.
Last final suggestion is not to touch or squeeze and pinch your pimples as is one of the most common cause of deep scarring. So prevention is always better than cure.
Hope this information will help you
