Have Breathlessness, Vomiting, Fever, Cold Sweats, Dizziness, Superficial Temporal Artery. On Paracetamol And Ibuprofen. Suggest

Hi
Never experienced this problem before.
I am a healthy 25 year old who over the last 48 hour experienced breathlessness and vomiting one night, and fever and cold sweats the following. Today, following some light exercise the headache that has slowly increased in pain throughout the last few days suddenly became stabbing and localised to the left temple. It is throbbing and causes me to become slightly dizzy when standing. The pain has also spread to my lower left jaw too. More worrying is an artery has become pronounced on the left of my forehead, probably the frontal part of the superficial temporal artery (according to diagrams),
I took 400g of ibuprofen and 1mg of paracetamol with caffeine approximately 5 hours ago.

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,
based on the history your headache is secondary to systemic illness probably a viral fever. The headache is of vascular type which is worsened by minimal exertion

Consult your family physician /Neurologist for clinical evaluation

you may require battery of blood tests and imaging brain to rule out structural lesion

Meantime have plenty of fluids , timely meal and naprosyn for headache, consult your doctor for prescription

Regards
