General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi Amit,

I am sorry but I do not agree with your thought of not hospitalizing your friend. In my opinion, he/she requires hospitalization and treated accordingly.

Brain fever needs effective intravenous antibiotics usually, to get cured. This cannot happen on OPD basis. Your friend has also vomited 15 times which is a grave sign.

Please go ahead with admitting her/him. Continue to give paracetamol to control the fever.

I wish your friend quick recovery.
