Have Boils On The Groin. Have Diabetes And Addisons Disease. No Medication Now. What To Do?

Hi my son has diabetes and addisons disease. Recently he has started getting big painful boils on his groin. His doctor tested them and the resullts were strep b. Those boils went away and now he has a new one. I poked it with a syringe and dark brown pus comes out, seemingly never ending and the smell is horrid, like rotten meat. Before it didn't smell, is this something I should take him to the e.r. for?

Hello,

Your son is a diabetic(I belive Type I Diabetes) and suffering from addison's disease.
This is a type of skin infection that every diabetic is prone due to poor immune response and hyperglycemia.
The lesions tend to spread to adjacent areas where it is contaminated with the discharge.
Provide good local hygiene.
Control the blood sugar.
Give a course of antibiotic.
Apply topical antibiotic creams.
Drain the puss completely by doing an incision and drainage.
