Have Blotchy Redness On Penis Head After Intercourse. No Medical History. Is It Because Of Lubricant Or Condom?

hey i have a slight concern about my sexual health, i seem to be getting a blotchy redness on the head of my penis after intercourse with my girlfriend. i've searched online health forums and have gone by other people's answers to this same question but that doesn't really put my mind at ease. the redness only appears straight after sex, and i have a concern that this may be a reaction to the lubricant or latex of the condom. Should i go to a local doctor to get this seen to and if so, where do i actually go as i have only done a urine test before and i came up with no sexually transmitted diseases or infections.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi there ~

I understand your concern. It may be that you have an allergic reaction to your condom. It might be helpful to change condoms to see if this gets better. If it does not please see your doctor to find the right solutions.

Firstly you might need to consult an psychiatrist to find out if you have any difficulties in your libido or have other mental health concerns like depression. Otherwise, you have a very common problem of erectile dysfunction and / or premature ejaculation and it can be easily treated with medications available during this time. The class of medication is called phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors (PDE5Inh) selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and it also helps with decreased libido which is a result of depression if you are going through one. I advise you to consult with a qualified psychiatrist who might be able to help in this regard. I hope this helps.

Take care and have a lovely day!
