Have bloodshot eyes and getting sudden sharp headaches. How to get relief?

Lately i have been getting sudden sharp headaches that last for a few minutes or an hour or two, blood shot eyes (which i never had before), and dark circles under eyes I am working long hours with my feet down, in the dark or bright lights but the weird thing is sometimes I have bad gas when I get a headache. Could it be food, need for glasses, they don t seem to go together.

Hello and welcome.

Thank you for your query.

From the kind of work you have been doing, there could be many reasons for your headache.

The strain on your eyes due to the bad lighting could have caused a deterioration in your vision, thus requiring either a change in glasses (if you have already been prescribed glasses) or a new check up.

The stress and long hours can take a toll on your health, you should get your blood pressure checked, which can help in an early diagnosis of fluctuating blood pressure (if present), which can also cause headaches.

Please also note that an irregular diet can also be associated with headaches. Do you follow good eating habits?

Do you have your meals on time? Or go on long hours without any food = starvation? This can result in the increase in acid in your stomach, and other processes that can result in your body feeling like it is in a crisis, this condition is also associated with headaches.

Kindly schedule a check up with your doctor, and follow a healthy regimen.

I wish you a long healthy life.

Best wishes.
