Oncologist, Radiation 's  Response
Hi there,
The drugs you are on are to prevent you having fits. These are anticonvulsants and have a wide range of side effects, most commonly weakness, loss of appetite, altered bowel habits and eye and liver problems. The duration of treatment is usually decided on case basis as if you had fits recently then they will continue it. In case you previously had seizure but now no seizure for more than a year, many doctors will stop them. In case you never had seizures , better to stop them. But you must understand the final say would be of your operating neurosurgeon or radiation oncologist. These drugs should never be stopped without advise of your treating doctor.
Take care
