So, I have acid reflux. For the past month, I've been having bad stomach pains but it comes and goes alot. I always feel naseaus, or just uncomfortable. Sometimes I have headaches and I pee ALOT. I have high blood pressure, and protien in my urine. I've been tested for appendacitis, gall stones, kidneys and all that and it all came back normal. Im on prolosec now, it helps some but the pains still there just not as bad. What do I do?

hi there, acid reflux could be caused due to reflux esophagitis, peptic ulcer disease or any other cause relating to the GIT,besides these, acid reflux can also be caused due to other systemic disorder like liver dysfunction or kidney disease which may present with the vague symptoms that you have suggested. As you also have protein in urine and increased frequency of urination it would be wise to get your sef examined for any kidney disorder and for that priliminary tests like routine urine exam, blood urea, creatinine, GFR,serum cholesterol, lipids and 24hr urine protein done. If there are any positive findings in them then you may consult a nephrologist and act accordingly. In the meanwhile you could continue with prilosec. IF you are a smoker or consume alcohol more than socially then cut down on them and make some minor changes in your lifestyle such as take regular meals fat restricted and low spice in small quantities at frequent intervals. Hope you get better soon, take care.
