Have Acid Reflux And Reynauds. Taking Tetra Medication. Is There Anything Else That Can Be Taken?

Hello I am a 47yr old female. I have had trouble with acid reflux for about 10yrs now. I also have reynauds, but I don't know if its related to the acid reflux. My doctor had me taking tetra (brand name on box) once a day, and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Is there anything else that I can take that would ease the symtoms?

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Symptoms are one thing which should be eased. However possible serious stomach diseases like a cancer is the most important thing. That is why you should have it checked and ruled out at first. Gastroscopy should be done every few years. I hope you have ever had a gastroscopy.
Acid reflux symptoms can be triggered by Helicobacter Pylori infection. Some patients can be completely free from symptoms when this bacteria is eradicated. This infection can be checked during the gastroscopy.

If it is about your symptoms, you need to know that some patients have great response for one medicines, some for other. That is why if you find Tetra not helping you, it is worth to try other medicine from similar chemical group.

You should also avoid fatty foods, spicy foods, fried foods, coffee, fruit juices, soft drinks. Do not eat before sleeping (last meal should be 2 hours before sleeping). Try to put your head a little bit higher when sleeping.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
