Have A Right Knee Ligament Tear. How Long It Could To Be Cured ?
Doctor, i would like to ask you about my right knee got ligament tear...how long it could to be cured...i am so worried...it needs operation or it could be cured by exercise.....it is recomended to mri scan ......please advice me doctor., Any hospital in chennai i can visit...with moderate fees....pls doctor....thank you so much

You have not specifically mentioned which ligament is torn in the knee (as there are four ligaments in the knee - 2 cruciates & 2 collateral ligaments).
A conservative method of treatment is advisable for Gr 1 or partial tears with atleast 4-6 weeks of immobilization in a knee brace followed by gradual returning activities along with muscle strengthening physiotherapy.
Complete or Gr 3 tears generally needs surgical reconstruction.
An MRI scan of the knee joint is mandatory to exactly diagnose your condition.
There are many good surgeons as well as excellent centres in chennai that deal with ligament injuries. And the choice is yours.
