i went to the ER on Monday for a UTI, diagnosed me with a severe UTI over a 200 white blood cell count in my urine. Prescribed me Cipro, after my first dosage I started bleeding abnormally.... I know its not my period bc I just finished it last friday... i'm also having lots of pain in my upper back where my kidneys are located... should i be worried and see a doc?

Hi, many thanks for the query!
Well, for 200 pus cells per high power field in urine, you need to take a higher antibiotic preferably by parenteral route with your Urologist's opinion.
Blood in urine can be due to several causes but as you are saying that you are having pain in kidney area, this bleeding can be due to stones in the urinary tract, particularly, Ca-oxalate stones, due to spikes on their surface causing mechanical trauma to mucosa of the urinary tract.
Pain is due to excessive spasms of the ureter to overcome the obstruction caused by the stone, by propelling it out.
You need to do- USG (KUB), X-ray KUB, Random Blood Sugar Level, RFT, CBC.
Till then take antispasmodics, antipyretics, pain killers, diuretics with your Urologist's opinion.
Drink plenty of water so that 2 litres of urine is voided in 24 hrs.
Wish you a good health.
Take care.
Regards.
