Have PCOS, Missed Periods, Gained Weight. Missed Periods Due To Gaining Weight?
I have PCOS but my periods were normal until now....i just missed it and its due 10 days now,,, I have also gained lot of weight which is very difficult to lose... I did an early pregnancy test last week just to be sure..but it shows negative...I have never had intercourse..just foreplay with my boyfriend with clothes on... Do you think putting on weight and stress could have caused missed periods?
Hello Welcome to HCM. There are several reason of delayed or missed period. First of all, have to exclude pregnancy. You also got negative test. The reasons are mainly PCOD or Ovarian cyst associated with thyroid prob, over wt, psychological upset, stress, hormonal imbalance etc. Therefore, you need to undergo some tests like thyroid profile and LH/FSH. Then consult with your doctor. Do regular exercise to control body wt, avoid stress by doing deep breathing or pranayama in morning, avoid fatty food, need proper sleep. Be well.
