Has Fever, Cough And Cold. On Ventolin Syrup, Azithrl Liquid. Help?

my son is having fever and cold ... he is only 1 year and 3 months old... the doctor prescribe him ventolin syrup and azithrl liduid... he said he is having throat infection.but he is having difficulty in coughing... when i cheked from the internet it says we should not give ventolin under 2 years.... What my i suppose to do?

I can appreciate your concern.
Your boy probably needs only fever medicine (like panadol/crocin) & saline nose drops for blocked nose if any.
Azithral is an antibiotic which is unhelpful in viral infections.
Ventorlin can be tried if he has significant wheeze ( a clinical finding confirmed by examining the chest with a stethoscope) .Even If deemed necessary it is safer to use ventorlin in inhaler or nebulisation form as the syrup is more likely to be associated with certain side effects like fast heart beats, irritability & tremors.
