Dry hacking cough, difficulty in breathing, feeling phlegm ( expectoration )in throat, whistling sound all are suggestive of asthmatic allergic bronchitis. In this condition ,since disease is due to some sort of allergen hence, we did t find any sign in lungs . We have rely over physical examination and clinical examination as in oyur husband s case. All these symptoms may be due to , Allergy ( asthmatic allergic bronchitis), Infection in throat ( red cherry color throat with or without yellow color mucus stick over red c surface). Consult a physician and get his opinion . Usually ,if only allergy present only bronchodilators helps. Good luck. Dr. HET
