Has Anyone Else Had Severe Panic Attacks ?

I am just curious. Has anyone else had severe panic attacks ? I had it to the point a long time ago to the point where I felt helpless and didn t know how to handle it. I am a lot better now, with time and medication. Isn t it like the most horrible thing ever ?

OMG yessss. It completely can control your life. Even if you go somewhere that's meant to calm you down, it's like, suddenly you'll find a new trigger and have to leave there, too. Sometimes, it gets to the point where I can't even leave my house. It's tough because most teens have no clue what it is, so they have absolutely no understanding of what I'm going through, and I lose friends because my friends think I'm blowing them off. Doctors really need to find a cure for panic disorder because I've been to therapy several times, and my brain just overpowers whatever cognitive behavioral therapy they teach me. Same with medication, my body gets used to it, and it just becomes so mental that I feel like there's nothing I can do. Wow, sorry for venting. haha
