Hard lump on shin bone. No pain. Due to shin splints?

Hi. I noticed a couple months ago that I had a hard lump on the lower portion of my shin bone. It now seems to be going away. However, I recently noticed I have one on my other leg a little higher up on my shin. They aren t painful. I am an active runner I was wondering if they had anything to do with shin splints possible?

Thanks for writing to us.
The appearance of a painless swelling on the shin could be due to a soft tissue swelling like lipoma. Shin splints is also a possibility which needs to be ruled pout after a proper examination. You can do a hot fomentation in the area and see if it helps.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
