Had Unprotected Sex, Released Inside. Will Nordette Tablet Help? Proper Dosage?

Me and my GF sex yesterday Sept 31, 2013 around 3:45PM. I don t have condom that time ,so we do the withdrawal sex and then it accidentally the first pop of my sperm came inside in my gf , we search that day and we ve come up with the Morning after pill / plan B , since there s no plan b un the philippines i bought Nordette (21 white pills) We search how to use nordette , Some people says take 4pills within 120hours then 4pills again 12hours later. We go to mercury drugstore and the pharmacist says take 1 pill a day in 21days . We re very confuse what is the right thing. We are only 17 and we don t know what to do. Question ko lang guys please help us. 1) Until when she will take the pills ? 2) What are the effects if she isn t really preggy but she took the pills ? 3) What is the real right way how to take that pills. 4) We take the once a day pill same time. It s her 2nd day now. Sorry for bad english PLEASE NEED REPLIES ASAP.

Hello,

First of all, if the above date of unprotected sex is not within her fertile days (12th to 18th day of each 28-30 days cycle), then possibility of pregnancy is quite low on the other day.

Second thing, when Nordette is used as emergency pill, it should be taken as 4 pills within 72hrs and max within 120 hrs and another 4 pills with 12 hrs gap from first dose.

Third, Nordette one pill daily is used for regular contraception and not for EC.

Fourth, you need to confirm her pregnancy after 2 weeks of unprotected sex or 1 week after missed period through home pregnancy test.

Fifth, if she is not pregnant, external hormonal pill can cause irregular bleeding, spotting, abdominal cramp, delayed period, headache etc as side effect.
