The symptoms that you have mentioned namely - draining nose, fever, night sweats
, sore throat
are more suggestive of upper respiratory tract
Sexually transmitted usually present as genital sores, genital ulcers, discharge and lymph node enlargement in the inguinal region.
Lymph node enlargement in the neck can be due to a reactive enlargement secondary to infection of the upper respiratory tract.
An aspiration cytology of the lymph node is required.
The cause of lymph node enlargement can be detected by this test.
, antibiotic course and saline gargles can be instituted for quick relief and treatment.
Consult your doctor for prescription of the drugs.
In-order to rule out HIV infection, get the ELISA test as told by your doctor.
Practice safe sex to prevent sexually transmitted disease
and HIV infection.
