Had Unprotected Sex, Brown Discharge After Sex. Tender Nipples, Cramping. Delayed Period. Chances Of Pregnancy?

Hi, I m 16 years old and Ive been with my boyfriend for over 2 and a half years. He waited until i became of legal age because we really do love each other. We are currently going through a scare. My periods can be all over the place, however it makes this situation very difficult to deal with. My periods are usually always late or occasionally on time. Also when I m exposed to extreme levels of stresses, (like exams and assessments) i tend to have longer delayed cycles or even miss one in general. But this feeling is very horrible. I know quite a lot about this topic as I m often there to support many other girls when it comes to pregnancy scares. Please assess my analogies and correct me on any aspects that i have mistaken. My last period started on the 2nd of October. And ended on the 7th. My boyfriend poked in slowly without protection for less than a second after he cleaned up after the first time somewhere near half and hour beforehand (which was protected). That time i was dry, that along with it being the 7th day of my cycle, I assume that it cant be due to the fact that ovulation should start on day 14 if it was an average cycle of 28 days. After that day, we had sex one day of the weekend each week. All the other times it was protected and my boyfriend checked the condom every single time. None had any wholes or area for leakage. We know how to use it properly and everything was good and dandy. However, after the last time we had it (20th) it was very rough. There was light bleeding for the next three days (which slowly went from red to tan to a tiny bit brown). The discharge was like that when ovulating and the blood was only the smallest amount. Extremely diluted in the discharge. That made me assume that it was from damaging of the vaginal wall. I assumed that i should ve expected my period around the 30th due to my cycle tracking app which was set on a 28 day cycle. A few days before the expected date given by the app, my nipples become mildly tender. I had cramping as if i was due for my period. I had a lot of problem sleeping which in turn made me very tired everyday since i wake up at around 6am to make lunch for me and my boyfriend. I had random outbursts and emotional breakdowns due to the thought of being pregnant and had trouble concentrating in classes. After two days pasted the expected due date given by the app. I became very scared. Hence i did even more research and looked at the app more carefully. I then noticed that the last cycle consisted of 35 days. After a huge sigh of relief, i had a better sleep. All the cramping, nipple tenderness and everything else stopped the next day. So i assume that those were symptoms of extreme stress (as i searched it up). Now that i changed the settings to 35 day cycles it said that my ovulation was the 23rd and my period was the 6th. The first two days that we had sex was many days away from the fertile days of the cycle. Hence I stopped worrying and waited for the predicted day to come. The next week i didn t have any PMS symptoms and that is until about 2 days ago (4th) and I thought YAYY I m having my period soon . It is now a day late and I m starting to worry again. My boyfriend assure me that hes not going to back out on me and offered to buy me a test in a week if my period still hasn t come. We both assume that the chances of me being pregnant is VERY LOW due to the precautions we took to assure it. However I can not stop worrying about it. I know its not possible to have the child if I am to be pregnant and it will strain the relationship due to my family. I know we have made a mistake and we should never have done it in the first place, however the desire to have sex and breed is wired into us like all other animals. However, I do not wish to hinder the future of both me and my boyfriend since our career dreams are within reach. He wants to be a dentist and I m aspiring to be a microbiologist. Please help me

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

Given the level of protection and timing of any potential "scares" I think that the chance of pregnancy is very low. Also given your cycle irregularity, there is likewise irregularity (or absent) ovulation that likely decreases these chances further. That being said, pregnancy can never be ruled out completely. You need to do a pregnancy test now and repeat in one week. Also, you need to talk with your OB/GYN about birth control pills. This will not be the last scare given your current practice and methods.

I hope this helps. Please choose the PREMIUM service if you require a more detailed answer or have additional questions.
