Had Unprotected Oral Sex. Sore Throat, Wrist Pain, Tingling In Head, Headache. What Is The Problem?

on 7 nov this month i went to a sex worker i used condom for sex which dint break..i kissed her so there was some exchange of saliva though before having sex she gave me a brief fellatio ( without condom)..after finishing sex i rinsed my genitals...But next day onwards i had sore throat.. mild weakness.. wrist pain..tingling in head..very mild headache..left eye redness.. neck pain ..no sores till now no discharge noticed..sometimes mild pain in testicle and abdomen... please suggest what could be the problem?

Hi Harry,
Thanks for writing in.

The symptoms described by you can be simple FLU or upper respiratory tract infection.
But also it can be seroconversion illness of HIV.You have a small but definite risk of HIV with this kind of sexual behavior.
It is better to get an ELISA for HIV done at this point .Negative test must be confirmed at 3 months .
I advise you to practice safe sex.
