Had Sex Using Condom. Are There Chances Of HIV Infection? Having Gas And Abdominal Pain. Symptoms Of HIV?

Hi . I had sex with a condom but had my period which was still flowing a little bit and almost over. The guy I had sex with came into the condom but didn't pull it out when it was still hard but when it was soft already with the condom loose. How likely is it for me to catch HIV if his sperm came out on the bottom of the condom which touched the bottom of my vagina. Or from me giving him oral sex. One or two weeks after we did it I started having lower abdominal pain and gas every single day. Before that I've only had gas once a week. Sometimes once a month. Now I have pain every day. Can gas be the first symptom of hiv or would I have to have fever and other symptoms and do you only get symptoms when HIV doesn't enter the blood so the body tries to get rid of it or does it enter the bloodstream through the uterus if I have my period or does the period flow push the virus out. Is my gas just a coincidence ? I did eat a lot of milk products lately and a lot of peaches and oranges.

Hello dear,

The chances of acquiring HIV occurs if:
1. If your partner is affected with HIV
2. If there is any cut/raw surface in your oral mucosa through which the infection can spread.

If the above mentioned criteria doesn't hold true for your case, then there is no need to worry about getting HIV.

HIV does not have any particular set of symptoms. It has a wide range of symptoms & vary from person to person.
However, the symptoms as mentioned by you can also be attributed to your diet.

There are certain tests like p24 assay or PCR for HIV, which becomes positive within a week and are almost 100 % sensitive.
Even the presence of a single virus in the body can be detected by PCR.
So, if this test comes negative, you can be sure that you are safe.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
From your history it seems that if a guy is having STD then there are all chances of having STD.
Even if you used condom but due to looseness of penis there are all chances of leaking semen into your vagina and you had oral sex as well.
As you had period, spreading of STD might be through blood as well.
It is not that coming out blood will throw away the infection.
So to be on safe side, go for STD testing after 3 moths of exposure.
Ok and bye.
