Had Sex 2 Weeks Ago. Having Itching In Vulva And Vaginal Area. Blood Seen In Labia Lips. Reason?

I had sex about 2 weeks ago. About four days ago I started to get itchy in vulva and vagina region. I only had some burning when peeing the first day but it went away. But for the next few days it was itchy, red, and tingling down there. Later when I looked down I saw little bit of blood from 2 long linear cuts on either labia major lip, i dont know if i scratched too hard maybe?? I washed with warm water and used yogurt and tea tree oil and that made things much better but now my vagina is still bit itchy/tickly and the skin is dry and flaky. Oh and I have noted no abnormal discharge or blisters or oozing

Dear Julie******
thanks for your question
your presenting symptoms are burning sensation, itching in vulva and vaginal region, redness which developed about 10 days of intercourse.
there is no abnormal discharge or blistering.
Most probably the presenting symptomatology directs us to vaginal thrush.
Its a infection that develops due to infection of vaginal mucosa by Candida albicans. It is a very common infection that usually develop in persons who are diabetic, immunocompromised, in persons with intercourse with infected individual, in persons who wear tight undergarments and who use detergents to wash their private parts.
mostly its a minor infection with soreness, redness, burning sensation with itching in vaginal region some times blood streaks are also seen.
What can be done?
well you can use Clortrimazole cream for local application, maintain proper hygiene, wear loose undergarments.
tab fluconazole single dose will improve situation (~90% of cases)

hope i solved for doubt.
thanks kindly rate take care
