Had Scaphoid Fracture In Hand, Plastered. Alternate And Will It Have Side Effect?

i had a scaphoid fracture in my left hand and for this doctor have plastered the region and advice to keep it for 45 days.but i have my practical exam from 24th of may...i will be grateful to you if you suggest any alternative of synthetic plaster,so that i can use my hand during exam.can i remove the plaster after 4 weeks,will it cause any adverse effect ?suggest me any alternative..

scaphoid is very notorious bone
dont interrupt in treatment
there is always fair chance of non union inspite of good plaster
so follow plaster protocol for 6 weeks
