hello,

First of all, having sex within 5 days after ending period is very much safe but using condom has near about 14% failure rate. Though, it depends on fertile period or ovulation time.

On the other hand, 1-7 days period date alteration is normal thing and mostly occurs due to hormonal imbalance and stress/ mental upset.

Therefore, I suggest her to wait at least 7 days to get normal period and if she does not get it, then she must undergo one home pregnancy test initially and later one blood test for beta-HCG to confirm or exclude pregnancy.

Following test reports, consult with your doctor for next line of management.

In the mean time, she must take balanced diet, avoid stress, drink plenty water/ fluid, keep bowel habit regular, do yoga/ light physical exercise, eat carotene based vegetables and take sound sleep.

Be well & always practice safe sex.

Hi.Welcome to Healthcare Magic . Thank you for the query.
If you had protected sex and if the condoms didnt rupture and you did not erected inside then there are no chances of pregnancy.
Periods sometimes getr delayed due to some of the hormonal changes that occur after sex and due to things like extra joy, stress, excessive cold or heat, exertion ,tendency to wash head on first day of period.
If its freaking you out go for urine pregnancy test ,done byself kits available in the market.

The results will be there to help you out.
Hope for good things to happen.Feel free to ask if you need any further help.
Many Thanks,
Dr Shilpi Gupta

1. although UPT will exclude the diagnosis, because her age is 14 that means her hormones are still changing, and SEX will definitely delay the period and because it's a worrisome situation, (stress) will further aggravate the condition.
