Had Posion Ivy On Penis. Itchy And Swollen. Medication?

My boyfriend has a very minor case of posion ivy on his penis, it's itchy but not horrible and it is only swollen a little bit with very slight redness. It is also slightly peeling on the area that is swollen, he just got out of the shower. It doesn't hurt at all just itchy, is there something we can use to relieve the it hung such as calamine lotion? I'm not sure if it is safe on the penis (it's nowhere near the head). Also how long will it last? This is the second day

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns for your boyfriend. I believe that you have no problems except the itching that is concerning your boyfriend. The itching may be relieved with anti itch medications like chlorpheniramine maleate available as Avil in many countries, over the counter. I also believe that you may do well to wait till the lesions heal while using symptomatic treatment. Keeping the area clean and dry will also help your situation. I hope this helps.

Take care and have a lovely day!
