Hello,

Thanks for posting on HCM,

From your description (and considering your age), it is very likely that you are experiencing a premenopausal syndrome (since you mentioned that you have never been experiencing this kind of problem before). Premenopause or perimenopausal transition period is a stage of women's reproductive life that begins several years before menopause when the ovaries begin to produce less estrogen. It ususally starts in women as from age of 40 but could start earlier as from 30. This will last up to your ovaries completely stops producing estrogen. Could take several years (average is 4 years). You may develop other symptoms such as hot flashes, breast tenderness, worsening of premenstrual syndrome, decreased libido, fatigue, irregular periods, urine leakage when coughing or sneezing, urinary urgency etc. Most of the symptoms are managed symptomatically and irregular menses are managed with hormonal therapy.
You will need to consult a gynobs so a proper evaluation can be done.

Hope this helps
Dr. Bernard

Hi i am Dr Mbobnda.
At your age it probably may not be menopause. Because of your age. thought young onset menopause excist but it is likely not your case. But concerning the clots you sort it is not normal for menses to clot so it think you need to see your gynecologist. you will be just fine TAke care
