Had Periods. Having Sore Throat, Fever. Started Bleeding Again. Cause?

My period ended a little over a week ago. Midweek I became really sick with a sore throat and a fever that went as high as 102.7. Was able to control the fever with Tylenol . Felt really bad for 4 days but started feeling better today, however noticed I started bleeding again. Can a high fever cause your cycle to become irregular?

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Any physical or emotional stressor can affect the menstrual cycle.
Physical stress would include illness such as the viral illness that you experienced.

Your period should regularise by your next cycle once you remain well.

I hope this helps
