Had Pancreatitis. Dark Urine. High Bilirubin Levels In Urine. Pancreatic Stones?
Hello. I have had an attack of pancreatitis last may and it cleared up ok. Now, for about a week, I have had very dark yellow urine so I went to my doctor. He confirmed high levels of bilirubin but no blood in the urine. I had an ultrasound exam today and the Dr believes he sees a mass that has grown since he suspected one last may. My question: Can I grow stones in the pancreatic that would block the bile duct and cause my problem? If so, what would be the normal treatment. Thanks, Don Cancel please. I did not know there would be a charge for your service. I will wait for my doctor to find my problems.
Hi and welcome to HCM. Thanks for the query. High bilirubin levels are not caused by obstructed pancreatic duct. it is caused by obstructed biliary ducts which can be caused by panceratic cysts, tumors or lesions. So you need to do ct scan of abdomen to verify uis these such pathology. it may indicate benign conditons such as hepatitis or gallbaldder stones or some serious malignant disease so it should not be ignored. Wish you good health. Regards
