Had Numbness In Right Hand And Foot. Blurry Vision, Eye Pain, Muscle Weakness And Neck Stiffness

Hi,

I delivered my 3rd baby 9 months ago with my first epidural. Since then, I have had numbness in my right hand and foot, sometimes leg as well as a number of other symptoms that are all associated with the right side of my body: blurry vision, eye pain, muscle weakness, neck stiffness and major headaches, to name a few.

I've seen and optometry dr , primary care doc, and 2 neurologist. They can't figure out what's going on. My MRI conclusion was that I had the beginning signs of MS; though my doctors did not agree.

I'd appreciate any insight or direction as this has been frustrating not getting answers.

Thank you.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello

Thanks for writing to us,

There are various patterns of presentation of MS
If your symptoms are progressive and repeated then you should consult your doctor again and do required investigation.

You can do the Spinal Tap
Spinal fluid analysis holds important clues in diagnosis.

You can do Evoked Potential Tests for Multiple Sclerosis
This painless test measures electrical activity in the brain to help diagnose MS.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care
