Had Miscarriage. HCG Is Followed. Pregnancy Test Positive. Is It Possible To Ovulate And Become Pregnant With Residual Hcg In Your System?
Hello, I had a miscarriage 4 weeks ago tomorrow on June 15th. My hcg has been followed since the miscarriage. My last one was 20 on June 27th. I have also been taking pregnancy tests waiting for a negative result. It hasn't come. As a matter of fact, tonight I took a test after about a four hour hold and the test became positive instantly and much darker than the previous tests. I am wondering if I could be pregnant again? Is it possible to ovulate and become pregnant with residual hcg in your system?
After undergoing miscarriage it will take some time for the beta HCG levels to become zero. So that may be cause for the repeated positive urine pregnancy test. The time of onset of ovulation after miscarriage also differs from person to person. And ovulation can occur as early as two weeks after miscarriage. Sometimes ovulation is possible even having low levels of HCG in the body. Better to undergo blood test for HCG to clarify the doubt.
