Had Laparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy. Belly Button Seeps Yellow Fluid, Skin Around Is Red, Pains. Need To Be Concerned?

I am four weeks post op, I had a Laparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy. My belly button incision has started to seep yellow fluid, sometimes a little red and the skin around the belly button is red and warm to the touch. The radius of red is approximately 1 1/2 inches. There is also increased pain in the area and sharper pain when I touch or press slightly on the area. Sould I be concerned about infection or is this just part of the healing process. My activity has increased over the last few days and I am wondering if this might have contributed to this.

Hi,
It seems that you might be having deep seated infection in your operated area.
Consult your treating Gynaec and get examined as soon as possible.
Proper dressing with removal of infected exudate and again antibiotic medicine course might required.
Ok and take care.
