Had Knee Surgery To Smooth Out Cartilage. Hole Under Knee Cap. Need To Do Surgery. Your Thoughts?

8 months ago my 20 yr old daughter had knee surgery to smooth out the cartilege from the underside of her knee cap. Still not back to normal and now doc says there's a hole under the knee cap. He recommends some sort of patch made up of my daughters platelets and some cartilege medium. Please tell me your thoughts. Her surgery is scheduled for tomorrow.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
A whole under the cartilage usually needs to be repaired to provide a complete stability to the knee. The amount of disability and the size of hole needs to be assessed after proper investigations.
