Had Ileostomy Reversed, Rectum Removed And J Pouch Reconstruction. Have Frequent Bowel Movements. Due To Food?

Yes, In September I had my ileostomy reversed, this following a rectum removal and J pouch reconstruction. I have frequent bowel movements and would like to know the following: (1) does the food you eat have a significant impact on the number of bowel movements? (2) Will the number of bowel movements decrease over time, and if so, how long does that take?
