Had Hysterectomy With Bilateral Salpingo-oophorectomy, Pain During Intercourse With Some Blood. Reason ?

I has a hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy July 28. after 6 weeks, I saw my doctor, she recommended that I wait 8 weeks before resuming sexual activities, so we did. I did not experience any pain the first time but after nine weeks, intercourse was extremely painful and I did pass some blood. I am now extremely blooded with some discomfort ; no blood though. What should I make of this?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The pain and discomfort with bleeding during intercourse is likely to be due to a mild vaginal laceration. This will gradually heal in a week. You can use some lubricants while having sex.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
