Had Hernia Surgery, Removed Few Inches Of Colon. What Is The Reason For Weight Gain?
yes sir thank you for being available my question center around that I had hernia surgery in my stomach prior to that I had a colon take down where the surgeon remove about twenty inches of my colon, and I wore a bag for six months after that I had it reversed but within four months I had those hernias there was a large incescion down the center of my stomach. my question is WHY did I gain over FORTY pounds in weight? and I still have not been able to lose one pound.
It is usually seen that after major surgery, a patient is taken care of well and given good nutrition. Physical activity is minimum and the patient may have to lead a sedentary lifestyle for a while. These factors lead to a better accumulation of fat in the body which translates as weight gain. You may involve in light exercises and diet management and discuss your dietary requirements with a nutritionist.
Hope this helps
