Had Hemorrhoids, Took Suppositories, Having Hard Bowel Movement, Lots Of Blood In Toilet. What To Do?

I have most recently had hemmroids and went to the dr. he gave me suppositories and after a week I felt a lot better. But I had a very hard bowel movement the other day and lots of blood was in the toilet, this happened twice more with Bm s. It stopped after the 3rd and now its been fine. But I m a bit worried.

Hi, thanks for writing to HCM. The treatment for hemorrhoids depends a lot on the diet. I always advise my patients to eat much fruits, green vegetables and drink much water. Also, spicy foods containing pepper should be avoided. If your diet is well controlled, you will have minor bleeding as stool will be softer.
