Had Fever, Unable To Swallow Saliva. Purpose Of Augmentin 625 Duo And Chymoral Forte And Days It Will Take To Recover?
have sore throat accompanied by 102 celsius temperature. unable to swallow even the saliva . really painfull. doc has advised to tale calpol , allegra , vizlag, augmentin 625 duo, chymoral forte .. for 5 days.. want to know the purpose of augmentin 625 duo, chymoral forte ? how many days will i take to rcover? can it be fatal?

you are suffering from tonsilopharyngitis or pharyngitis
augmentin is an antibiotic,purpose is to kill the bacteria which cause the disease,
chymoral contains enzymes which reduce the swelling around your throat,you should normally recover in 5-7 days unless your infection is resistant to augmentin ,you can take warm salt water gargles along with above medicines.
the condition is very rarely fatal

1. The purpose of giving Augmentin is to recover from the infection that occurred in your throat. Augmentin contains a combination of amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium. Amoxicillin fights bacteria in the body.Clavulanate potassium is a form of clavulanic acid, which is similar to penicillin. Clavulanate potassium fights bacteria that is often resistant to penicillins and other antibiotics.
2. Chymoral forte is natural anti- inflamatory. It reduces the viscocity of mucos and sputum in cases of infection in throat. The proteolytic enzymes in Chymoral Forte also help to increase the concentration of antibiotics at an infection site, thereby reducing instances of infection and speeding up healing from infection.
3. The oral drugs starts its effects in 12-24hrs so you start getting relief in 12-24hrs mean while your temp and pain are reliefed by other drugs which you are using.
4. You should also starts gargles of betadine gargles solution to get relief. It will help you a lot.
