Nowadays there are various measures to get rid off or atleast improve old scars...But this all depends upon whether the scar is hyperpigmented or hypopigmented..also one needs to assess whether it is raised or atrophic,,,There are many creams available to improve the appearance of pigmented scars,,,also we have various other modalities like chemical peels, dermabrasion and other surgical techniques which can be used,,,so i would advise you to visit a dermatologist so that proper assessment of the scar can be done and yo can be managed accordingly...
