Had Cough And Phelm, Prescribed Butalin Inhaler. Is Butalin Fine For Infants?
Hi, My son is 5 months old and has had a cough and allot phelm for the last week, we took him to a doctor and she prescribed him Butalin inhaler. On receipt of the prescription the pharmacist mentioned that Butalin in a steroid and shouldn't be used on infants? We have asked the initial doctor but she has failed to get back to us on our query. Is the Butalin fine for infants without any adverse side effects or future problems? Thanks.

see we have to evaluate the childs exact health to find out whether he should be using it or not.
but yes it is prescribed in infants as well.
tremors etc are its side effects.
but controlled on lowering the dose or stopping it.
then again too much of anything is a lot.
so once your child is cured from cough,you will be stopping it right?
