Had Chest Pain On Each Heart Beat. Blood Pressure Fluctuating. Cause Of Pain?

Have history of high BP . Several days ago while driving home had about 30 sec. of pain in rt. chest on each heart beat. Next morning, sitting at home had same pain lasting for around 10 seconds. Nothing since. Took blood pressure later in the day and it was down from 140/93 to 117/74. Same the next day 114/72 in the morning. Each day it raised to 129/82 by late afternoon. One day later, BP back to 149/94 with a slight headache over rt eye. Has been there last few days. Had blood test on Mon, everything normal and am seeing cardiologist tomorrow afternoon. I am 71 5 9 and 192#. Saw Dr. he said chest pain was not cardiac related? Will do 24hr monitor next week.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

This doesn't sound like heart pain.
All the same at this age, it has to be excluded - HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – will all be necessary for further assessment and assistance.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck

Hello
Well come to health care magic
Dear patient, the type of pain you describe is non cardiac pain, cardiac pain never lasts for seconds , it lasts for minutes to hours and is generally associated with sweating, feeling of breathing difficulty, palpitations, anxiety and nusea etc Also the the type of blood pressure variatiion that you have noticed can be normal with daily life activities, if you are already going for 24 hour holtar monitaring that is fine , hope fully every thing will be fine , no need to worry
thanks
Dr Arshad
