Had Carpal Tunnel Surgery On Hand. Developed Trigger Finger. Thumb Sore, Can Barely Bend It. Suggestion?
I had carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand about 5 months ago. Three weeks ago I developed trigger finger in my middle finger and about a week ago my thumb has become so sore I can barely bend it. It s at the knuckle of the thumb that feels like it s filled with something preventing me bending toward my palm without severe pain. So now my wrist is fine but I developed these two problems and it s getting progressively worse. What could this be and do you think the three are related or what? I am righthanded so this is really a problem for me. What do you suggest?
For trigger finger you can get one shot of steroid and if not relieved then surgical release under local anaesthesia can be done. . Do ice fomentation will help in reducing swelling . Later on physiotherapy will help .
