Had Cardiac Bypass Previously. ECG Shows Mildly Dilated Left Atrium. Indications?
My husband just had an echocardiogram ..the result were as followa...normal size LV cavity with good systolic function and moderate LV distolic dysfunction and mildly dilated left atrium and no other significant valvular abnormalities...I should say that 10 years ago he suffered a heart attack and had a 6 graf bypass. What does the results of this echocaridiogram mean.
hi,
your husband echo was normal except diastolic dysfunction which usually occurs with age , HTN and diabetes .
I think your husband is already on medication , you continue it and have a healthy life style so that you can prevent future risk of recurrent heart attacks.
