Had Blurred Vision And Then Started Seeing Double. Now Wearing A Patch. Is It Cataract Related?

2 days ago my vision was blurry. Then I started to see double. After a day I had a headache and my wife noticed that my eye was crossing when I looked straight at her. I can look sideways OK. I am now wearing a patch. Was scheduled for cataract surgery in April but feel this is not cataract related. Should I see cataract dr. or who?? Any suggestions/I am 71, with controlled high blood pressure and a-fib.

What presentation is given link to squint.For confirmation requires a cover test.Problem is loss of binocular vision,eyeball movement.Field of vision is also to be tested.Acuity of vison is to be recorded.You have not given status of the other eye.Diplopia involves vision of both the eyes.
