Had Blood Clots In Discharge. Was Using Ortho Evra Patches. Have Intercourse. What Is The Cause For Clots?

I started using ortho evra patches on jan of this year and the last patch that i used was on feb 24 and removed it on march the 3rd and stoped using it, after i only had intercorse once a week passing my period on match and after i had a blood clot that came out. I put on a tampon and only for the rest of the day i ha blood. I didnt have no sex till april again a week after i was due from my period and the same thing happened, i didnt have any pain or anthing and it cleard up the next day and had the regular white mucus. Whats the cause of the blood clot?

hi you are using progesterone patch for contraception. it is common to have irregular periods and spots while using it. see your gynaecologist once . all the best.
