Had An Operation On Breast For Calcification And Radiotherapy Is Due. Mastectomy Is Required?

I have just had an operation on my breast for calcification I had quite a large amount of my breast removed others have had a mastectomy I did not see the Dr at the clinic to speak about my concerns only a nurse I have only been given an appointment for next year also I am to have radiotherapy for three weeks in Feb I feel let down A.

The type of surgery depends entirely.on the area affected with calcification, and based on your description this seems to be quite a lot.

There are of course options for removal and reconstruction, if this is the issue concerning you. But I am sure your doctor had your best interest in mind.
