Had an angioplasty procedure. Can that lead to pain in rib cage? Cause of blockage of LDA?

my husband had an angioplasty procedure aprox. 3 weeks ago. Shortly after that he has had pain on his left front rib cage area under his nipple of his left breast . The veins from that area are very tight and prominent. What can be causing this? The Angioplasty showed he has 35% blockage of the LDA and did not require stinting.
