Had Abnormal Small Arteries In Heart, Blockage. Undergone Quad Bypass. How Long Will Bypass Last?

I am 50 years old. About 6 weeks ago had a quad bypass. I am doing very well. I went in for a stress test and it showed a lot of blockage. My heart is fine and not damaged, as I have never had a heart attack. My ejection fraction is 60%. They used my Mammary artery for the left descending (widow maker). The surgeon said I had abnormally small arteries in my heart. My question is how long do you think the bypasses will last.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

The internal mammary grafts generally last for ever!
The vein grafts could get blocked – approximately 3 % incidence every year
There is also the problem of progression of the disease in the native vessels...
Discuss with your doctor...

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
