Had A Sever Heart Attack. In Induced Coma. Brain Waves Are Low. Chances Of Recovery?

My ex son in law, had a severe heart attack last Saturday night. They put him in an induced coma. All that we know is that his brain waves are very low. He lives 1200 miles from us, so it is head to know all that is going on. He is 47 yrs old. His father died of a heart attack at a fairly young age Question is, with this information, can you make any guesses to his possible recovery?

Dear Sir/ madam
Thanks for your query to us.
I understand your concern for him. All prognostic indicators, markers and algorithms usually apply to populations and do not give meaningful information with regard to individual patients. They should at best be regarded as qualitative.
"Induced coma after heart attack" may indicate that possibly damage to heart was significant. However there are so many other usual and specific factors which determine prognosis and have not been known to you (or not mentioned).
Hope he recovers well.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
