Hi,
Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. Bulky uterus is a normal phenomenon after abortion, it takes few weeks for the uterus to come to normal size. You dont have to worry about bulky uterus. Kindly use some contraceptive measure to prevent future pregnancy, as it is not good to have abortion in a regular basis.

Hi

Thanks for your query

Bulky uterus is most commonly referred as adenomyosis, it is very commonly seen in middle age women who have had children.

Though the causes are unknown, but is common in women who has undergone prior uterine surgery, caesarean section, termination of pregnancy, pregnancy itself.
Many hormones can also trigger this condition.

It can cause heavy and prolonged menstrual bleed, cramps and heaviness in abdomen, dragging sensation in thighs and legs.

Treatment basically depends on the symptoms, there severity and whether family is completed of the particular women.
In mild conditions only pain killers are needed but, in some conditions hormonal therapy is needed and even surgery.

Though definitive treatment is only removal of uterus.

Regards.
